Casa La Reina is a 2.5-acre villa that sits on Black Stallion Eco Park, a 1,500-acre private development. Located high above the hills of Tamarindo with sweeping, southwest valley views, this architectural gem was completely refurbished in 2022, with new furniture and fixtures. The villa comfortably sleeps 6, with the possibility of 2 additional people on air mattresses, and offers a serene backdrop to your Costa Rican adventure.
Master Bedroom
Casa La Reina’s master suite is the perfect retreat from the world. With floor-to-ceiling windows, a large, modern master bath, and a large walking closet it’s the perfect place to lay your head after a long day of adventure. The room features a climate-controlled walk-in closet and a safe to store all your valuables. The large, covered terrace that wraps around the back of the house is the highlight of this room (and all our rooms!). Wake up to a glorious sunrise with the sounds of birds and a cup of Costa Rican coffee or end your day with a glass of wine while you gaze at the stars.
Bedroom 2
Our second suite features a queen bed, large floor-to-ceiling windows, an en-suite bathroom, and a large closet with a safe to store your valuables. The wraparound terrace extends to the second bedroom, giving guests their own private patio nook.
Bedroom 3
Or the kids’ room as we like to call it, features 2 twin beds that can be converted into a larger king-size bed. The room also features a large closet with a safe and access to the wraparound terrace.
Our indoor-outdoor living area is a space you won’t want to leave. A beautifully furnished living area that comfortably seats 6-8 people is the perfect place to unwind with entertainment on demand. Catch up on your favorite shows on Netflix or Amazon Prime on a 55” ultra-high-definition TV or relax to your favorite tunes with our Bluetooth speaker.
Memories are made in the kitchen! Our large, state-of-the-art kitchen is the perfect place to unleash your creativity with locally sourced ingredients. Looking to simply dive into delectable cuisine without the fuss of chopping, food prep, and cleanup? Our onsite chef is a maestro with cuisine from all around the world. From comfort food to sushi, she can whip up the perfect plate on request.
Our 2.5 bathrooms are all modern, with chrome fixtures and access to hot running water, a rarity in Costa Rica! The Master Suite features a large bathroom with him and hers sinks and a rainfall shower. The second bedroom features an en-suite bathroom with a rainfall shower. The main living area features a powder room and all our bathrooms come fully equipped with towels and local, botanical toiletries.
The living room backs onto a large outdoor patio with plush deck seating, a large farmhouse table, and ambient lighting with tiki torches to create the perfect coastal ambiance. Enjoy your meals under the stars or take a midnight swim in the infinity pool that overlooks the valley.

Transportation from airports and to Tamarindo
Casa La Reina is accessable by road from both of Costa Rica’s international airports. We recommend flying into Liberia’s Daniel Oduber International Airport (LIR), Guanacaste, approximately a 1-hour and a 20-minute drive to the villa. The second option is the capital of Costa Rica, San José (Juan Santamaria International Airport – SJO), approximately a 4-5 hour drive, traffic dependent.
We are happy to arrange private transportation, private coach, or aircraft landing in Tamarindo, for your arrival to Casa La Reina from either airport, or you are welcome to rent a vehicle at the airport from your selected car rental agency.
